Grand Soleil 43′ot
The Grand Soleil 43 Open Transom has been designed to impress in the harbor and to win in regattas. It is constructed using the most innovative techniques, providing the perfect combination of performance and exceptional cruising comfort. Great attention has been paid to ergonomics on board, as well as the use of the best deck equipment, thus guaranteeing extraordinary ease of steering in any wind or sea conditions.
High safety standards
The great care and attention paid to safety are characteristic of all Grand Soleil designs. The 43 Open Transom is great fun to sail as well as being safe, even with a reduced crew. Great attention has also been paid to reducing weight and distributing it correctly, therefore enabling a very high ballast ratio. Therefore the boat is more stable and easier to man oeuvre in strong winds, thus guaranteeing the highest possible level of safety on board. The deck layout has been designed to ease movement on board, as well as for the best possible sail control.
A new challenge
Created by the most successful design duo of the last decade – Botin & Carkeek – the Grand Soleil 43 Open Transom is destined to become a key player in important regattas, as the first boats to be launched have already shown with their recent victories: Spi Ouest France, Fastnet, Cowes Week and the North Sea Regatta. The new series of victories has already begun.
Feel closer to the sea
The 43 is the first Grand Soleil design with an open stern. This makes gaining access to the sea extremely easy and makes cruising even more enjoyable. It makes reaching the stern easier and mooring is simple and very safe. Furthermore, the open stern also helps to reduce weight at the ends, making the boat more stable and aiding performance.
Attention to detail
The boat has a lot of potential for customization. The owner can choose between an L-shaped kitchen, which is ideal for long cruises, or a kitchen on the side of the boat, which maximizes cabin space. Interiors are available in mahogany, oak or teak. The cabins are spacious, light and airy. The attention to detail in Grand Soleil yachts makes life on board even more enjoyable, as a result of more than thirty years experience in the boat-building business.
Seamless performance
The hull of the Grand Soleil 43 Open Transom, designed by Botin, is the result of the latest research in the field of fluid dynamics. The choice of the T-shaped bulb keel comes directly from experience in the America’s Cup, and aims to guarantee maximum performance and safety thanks to greater righting moment and a reduced wet surface.
