New Grand Soleil 39’

Cantiere del Pardo unveils upcoming plans to expand its range and announces the production of a 39’ performance cruiser that will join the larger models currently comprising the updated Grand Soleil range: GS 54’, GS 46’, GS 43ot and the newest entry at Pardo, the GS 50’.

With the launch of the Grand Soleil 39’, Cantiere del Pardo aims to maintain its role as an innovator and trendsetter in the field of luxury performance cruisers, though without neglecting the near forty years of history that have made the shipyard great. In fact, the Grand Soleil 39’ recalls one of the milestones of Cantiere del Pardo, the glorious GS 39’ designed by Alain Jezequel in 1983, an icon of elegance, seaworthiness, and indisputable quality.

Style

Like the other models in the renowned Pardo range, the GS 39’ will feature a refined design and a host of details usually seen only on larger craft.
The form of the hull will be light and streamlined on the water, consistent with the “family feeling” of the range, the deck completely flush, with mitered port lights, sheets and roller jib recessed below deck: all in perfect Pardo style, always synonymous with the best of “Made in Italy” design.

Performance

An in-depth analytical study, with almost obsessive attention to the waterline, weights, balancing, appendages and sail plan, was carried out to guarantee a boat with excellent performance features, though without sacrificing comfort aboard.

The use of the most advanced construction techniques (internal structure in carbon fibre composite, steel plate for keel fastening, integrated hull-deck joint) makes it possible to obtain a hull that is at once rigid, resistant to torsion, and lightweight.

In addition, the use of VPP and CFD programmes made it possible to create an underbody with minimum wetted surface and a highly efficient T-shaped keel: the result is an extremely high ballast ratio able to support a powerful sail plan.

Comfort & Quality

On deck, everything is designed to ensure the maximum comfort and safety aboard.

The manoeuvres with the mainsail with “T” system and jib without overlap enable easy and precise handling even with a small crew. Passenger comfort is assured by the ergonomic seating of the cockpit, the sunbathing space on the deckhouse and the wide unobstructed passageways (the chain plates are forward and the jib rail is fitted on the deckhouse).

As regards the interiors, the nautical character of the GS 39’ is immediately evident with a galley organised in an “L” shape, numerous stowage spaces, and the possibility to have a second head dedicated to the owner.
